Product Photography
Clean product frames for catalogue and e-commerce.
Product photography on white or styled, shot consistently so a catalogue or storefront looks like one range rather than a scrapbook.
Photographed by Moorman Photographics, a locally owned studio on 16th Street North in Saint Petersburg, working across Tampa Bay for over thirty years.
A range has to look like a range
Individually good product photographs that were lit differently look wrong the moment they sit next to each other in a grid. Consistency across the set matters more than any single frame.
That means one lighting setup, one camera position and one treatment held across everything, so a catalogue reads as one range rather than a scrapbook.
Clean background or styled
A cut-out on white is what most marketplaces and comparison layouts require, and it is the workhorse — it shows the product and nothing else.
Styled or in-context frames do the other job: showing scale, use and the kind of life the product belongs to. Most businesses need both, and they are shot differently.
What helps before a shoot
- Send the actual products, in the condition a customer would receive them — fingerprints and dust photograph brilliantly, unfortunately.
- Say which angles matter. Some products have a face; others need to be shown open, worn or in use.
- Flag anything reflective or transparent early — glass and chrome need a different setup than everything else.
