On-location sessions put the portrait somewhere with meaning — the house, the beach, the yard the children grew up in.
We bring the lighting, so an on-location frame is not a compromise on quality.

Somewhere with meaning in the frame
The house you brought them home to, the stretch of beach you walk every year, the yard the children grew up in. On location, the setting is part of what the photograph is about.
It also relaxes people. Most of us are more ourselves in a familiar place than in a room with lights in it.
Light outdoors is a timing problem
Midday sun is the worst light of the day for people — hard shadows in the eye sockets and everyone squinting. The hour or so before sunset is the opposite, and it is why so many outdoor sessions are booked into it.
Open shade works at other times. We bring lighting either way, so an overcast afternoon is not a lost session.
Choosing a location
- Somewhere that means something beats somewhere that photographs well.
- Check access and parking — public spots can need permission or get busy at exactly the good hour.
- Tell us about it in advance and we will scout the light before the day.
